Sonshine Preschool is a ministry of First Baptist Church that offers a preschool program that meets 2 half-days.  Sonshine Beginners is for children age 3 by September 1, and Pre-K attends at Archer City Elementary or Head Start.  The preschool meets on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon from September through May.  For more information, contact the church office at 574-4923.

Enrollment has opened at Sonshine Preschool for the 2011-2012 school year. Call the office of First Baptist Church of Archer City at 574-4923 to enroll your child. The Sonshine Beginners class is for children who are age 3 by September 1, 2011. Mollye Ashton teaches this class. The classes will meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon beginning September 6. Tuition is $65 per month. A $30 non-refundable enrollment fee is due to enroll your child into preschool. Several people have also expressed interest in Sonshine Preschool re-opening their Pre-K program for next year. Parents like the twice-a-week morning schedule, the Christian-based academic curriculum used, and the 1-on-1 attention the child-to-teacher ratio offers. If you are interested in this program, contact the church office to be added to this list, and steps will be taken to explore that option once again. There is no cost to be added to that list while plans are pending. Sonshine offers many things that will prepare your child for kindergarten and beyond. They have great classrooms and curriculum, excellent playground area, and a gymnasium. In addition to the education and the social activities, the students go on field trips to pet stores, the fire department, parks, restaurants, and participate in our annual basketball camp.
