The Movement Student Ministry
There's more to being a Christian than making a statement of faith and attending Sunday morning and Wednesday night worship, the Gospel radically transforms the believer, it causes you to see everything differently. When you're a Christian, you can't read books the same way, you can't listen to music the same way, you can't watch movies the same way, and you can't interact with people the same way because the Gospel radically transforms us. Paul says that "in Christ you are a new creation, the old has passed away, behold the new has come" (1 Cor 5:17). But the problem for us is so often our lives look the same after Christ has saved us as they did before. What we need is to be reminded of the purpose of our salvation. Jesus Christ did not come to form a social club, or to form a complacent people. He came so that we might be changed radically, wholly, and completely. We are changed radically by the power of the Gospel, and we are called to go therefore into the world for Christ's Glory. We are The Movement. We will go into the world, being radically transformed ourselves and through the change in us, radically transforming the world around us.
